What’s New at Vale House?

16th June 2020

Hello, and yes we haven’t reported on much since 2015, so here’s a quick rundown.

Our family has grown quite a bit! Our beautiful girl Francesca arrived in July 2015 and this kept us busy. Then 2 years later we were blessed with twins, William and Phoebe. since then we have been very busy indeed! We had pigs and this has continued year on year and we welcomed more chickens too. We got married! So now the Dawson Family  can’t wait to see many of you here at Vale House again.

The garden has taken on some changes too with extra space created for the children to play and the dog, Burt, to run around! Our apple, pear and cherry trees have bared a lot of fruit which the pigs have enjoyed mostly! With an acre and half of land we have a lot of garden to develop so things are changing all the time.

So during this time of Lockdown due to the current global pandemic of Coronavirus, we too have had our stresses and worries. As we have had to remain closed during this time we have had some time to reflect and prepare for the time we can welcome back guests and visitors to our properties and Cornwall as a holiday destination. We wanted to ensure you that we have implemented some changes that will help you enjoy your next holiday here with confidence and peace of mind that your safety is our highest priority. As I’m sure many of you are very much looking forward to your summer holiday, as we are looking forward to seeing many of you again, or indeed for the first time, we wanted to give you some assurances that your stay here at Vale House Cornish Holidays will be a safe one. We will be carrying out the following cleaning procedures for each stay:* Each self catering unit will be deep cleaned including disinfecting all door, window and cupboard handles, all hard surfaces including cupboard surfaces, work surfaces, cupboards doors, tiles and floors.

* All bedding, including sheets, quilt covers, mattress toppers, pillow cases, pillows, and quilts will be replaced with freshly washed alternatives.
* All soft furnishings including sofas, cushions and blankets will be anti-bacterial sprayed or laundered.
* Anti-bacterial hand wash will be available in all kitchens and bathrooms.
* Hand Sanitiser will be located for use at all entry and exit points of the properties.
* Keys will be collected and returned via a coded key lock box located next to the entry of the property.
* The above measures will be carried out further to any Government Cleaning Recommendations also.
Arrival and departure times will be changed to allow for the extra cleaning regimes and enable each property to be effectively aired, so we are asking guests to depart from the properties by 9am and arrivals can access the properties from 5pm. Upon departure please open all windows in the property and upon arrival please sanitise hands prior to obtaining key from key coded box. Hand sanitiser will also be available outside the property.
Some of these measures may seem extreme, but we want you to remain safe and well during your holiday here at Vale House Cornish Holidays. Given the current situation we would also advise that you seek Travel Insurance for your own piece of mind.

Please bear with us during this time, we are doing our upmost to work in accordance to Gorvernment Guidelines and the balance of being able to trade again and enable to provide a safe and enjoyable stay during your holiday. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us and we will try to help as best we can.

Hopefully see you all soon!
